Last week Mrs. Thompson’s Business and Entrepreneurship students started their exploration of the business world. They discussed the purpose of business, profit motive, who customers are, needs, and wants. Once they had a firm grip on those concepts it was time to engage their imagination, passion, and look to the future. In class students participated in team ‘think tanks’ where they each person came up with a business idea. They identified what need or want their product or service would provide and discussed how to best structure their business.

Student ideas ranged from lawn care, to flipping houses, shoe manufacturers, and sticker production. These students will take these concepts and build on them throughout the year as they learn more about business and entrepreneurship. Stay tuned for updates on their progress!
