Thank you all so much for attending our 1st Day/Open House event today! We successfully got over 600 students and families in and out of the building today smoothly! Thank you for your dedication to our school and for making your student’s enrollment at CGS a priority. Please remember that the first 20 days is crucial to our school and allotted funding from the state. Please make sure that your student is here every day in order to be counted in our enrollment.

Please remember to have patience during our car rider lines this week. We will show some grace in the mornings this week with tardies but please make sure that you get to school in plenty of time so that your student is in class and ready to learn by 8:00 A.M. Please review this week’s Sunday message for information regarding traffic drop off and pick up procedures.

Covid-19 Policy Reminders:

We wanted to remind everyone briefly in regards to the CGS Covid-19 policies and procedures. If you are feeling unwell, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Corbett at angelacorbett@cgsnc.org. Our policy is still the recommended CDC guidance of quarantining for 5 days and wearing a mask the remaining 5 days if testing positive for Covid-19. This goes for any positive student cases as well as positive household cases. The only exception to the required quarantine time for students with a positive household case is if the student is vaccinated. If the student is vaccinated and his or her household has a positive Covid-19 case, the student can only come to school if they are masked for ten days and not showing any signs or symptoms of Covid-19. The day of quarantine begins the day following the positive test date. Please reach out to our school nurse for any questions!
