2020 has been a challenging year for parents, students, teachers, and everyone in between. We have persevered through a global pandemic, distance learning, and quarantine restrictions. While these challenges were difficult at we have met each of them as a community and tackled them like Grizzlies do, head on.

This is not to say that there were not triumphs and great joys during 2020. In fact there were several great achievements for our school, faculty, staff and students. One of those triumphs was our first ever Winter Wonderland event. This Christmas celebration took place on campus last week and was a huge hit.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were on hand to greet students as they passed by in their cars. Everyone received a special sweet treat of hot chocolate, popcorn and a candy cane. CGS was very proud to gift all elementary aged students a book for Christmas. Our students were also able to give back during this event as our Student Council continued taking Christmas Cards for US Servicemen and Women.

The fun didn’t stop with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Several of our faculty and staff decorated their cars, trucks and trailers with Holiday decorations. There was even snow and a special appearance from the Grinch! While all of these attractions were wonderful nothing drew more oohs and aahs than the hot air balloon located on our front lawn. Santa was traveling in style!

There was so much happiness and Christmas Spirit in the air as we all were able to see each other and share in this joyous time of the year. We are thankful for all the families that were able to join us for this event and wish you all a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
