Mrs. Vereyken’s Weekly Update 12/14 - 12/18

This is the LAST Sunday message update until January 3^rd! We are finishing up our last week until our holiday break and our last week of Quarter 2. Time has really flown by this school year! We know that 2020 hasn’t been exactly what we’ve all asked for, but we ask you to think and reflect back on this year and find the positives. Our staff did this on Friday and it really helped all of us put some things into perspective. 2020 was one of the MOST challenging, tough, frustrating, and stress-ridden years, but we’ve ALMOST made it! We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for continuing to help us support your student and give them the best education possible. We are excited to ring in the new year and have high hopes and dreams that 2021 will be our best school year yet! Have a wonderful holiday with your families. Please stay safe and well and we will see you next year! : )

- Those picking up USB drives, we ask that you return them with the completed work by Friday, 12/18 so that there is time to grade the assignments prior to next semester beginning.
If your student has textbooks to return, please make sure they return them by Friday!

Winter Wonderland Drive Through Event on Campus: 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M.

On Monday, December 14, 2020, we will have another distribution of materials for students. If your student has any of the courses listed below, please make sure that you come by campus and pick up their materials. Please stay in your vehicle and we will bring the material out to you. Please enter from the Burch Bridge Road entrance and travel around the building to the front circle. We request that you wear your face mask while interacting with our faculty/staff and that you remain 6 feet apart to social distance. If you’ve been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for Covid-19 or if you have symptoms of Covid-19 yourself, please do not come on campus. Thank you for helping us keep our faculty/staff safe!

Students with last names A-M will need to pick up materials from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

Students with last names N-Z will need to pick up materials from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.

Report Cards:

Reminder that Report Card Distribution will be on Friday, January 15^th from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Any report cards not picked up will be mailed home.

Annual CGS Parent Survey:

Be on the lookout for our annual CGS parent survey coming out over the holiday break. Please take a moment to fill out the survey as we use the results/feedback to improve and grow our school!

Letters of Intent:

Attached with our 2^nd quarter school report cards, you will find your child’s “intent form”. This intent form is what we use to gauge our needs for next school year. Our CGS school lottery opens up on January 4^th, 2021. Our lottery takes place in March for the 2021-2022 school year. Please make sure that you fill out and complete your child’s intent form to secure their enrollment for next school year. Thank you!
