Michael Johnson, High School, Teacher

I have been married for 33 years to Donna Chisenhall Johnson, I have a daughter Katherine Elizabeth Johnson Wrenn, a son Stewart McKinnon Johnson and one grandchild Jeffrey Tyler Wrenn Junior.

I have almost always wanted to share everything I have learned. Telling historical stories excites me. Fortunately I had two teachers (John Coffee, Jonathan Formy-Duvall) who helped me through some very difficult times, when I could have gone in the wrong direction. They cared enough to guide me toward good character. I believe I can also help children through difficult times. Maybe I can be that teacher who made the difference in a child's life.

Nominated for admission to the United States Naval Academy 1978, Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy 1986, Wal-Mart Teacher of the year for Orange County, North Carolina 2000, Who's Who of America's Teachers 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, Bachelors Degree in Education from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 1989, Certification in Advanced and Intelligently Gifted Education 2003, Masters Degree in Education/ History 2015, Twenty-eight years of teaching experience

I enjoy woodworking, shooting sports, reloading ammunition, golf and when I was younger I reenacted the Civil War as an infantry soldier, now I just research it.
