Name: Jonathan Wright

How many years have you been a student at CGS?

I started at CGS in 6th grade.

What clubs, organizations, teams, etc have you been involved with during your high school career?

I have been a part of the Chess club, Ultimate frisbee team, and Pep band.

What is your favorite Clover Garden memory?

Four years ago I got the chance to sing at the fall festival with the rest of the chorus. This was the first major singing group I had been a part of besides my choir at church. It brought me some of my favorite songs to this day and the fond memory of singing with hundreds of voices in harmony. I would love to do something like that again, given the chance.

If you had to choose one person from CGS that has really made a difference in your life who would that be?

Kenny, he was my first Ultimate Frisbee coach and he taught me that nothing is out of reach if you try hard enough.

If you had to choose two people from outside CGS that have made a difference in your life who would they be?

The main two people I want to shout out are my friends Eli and Evan. They have the two closest friends in my life. Evan was autistic, along with some other disabilities, and taught me to look beyond what others saw to find the gem inside. Eli came along with me on my first couple of mission trips and helped me through my transition from Illinois to North Carolina. Both of us were fairly antisocial and didn’t really know how to fit into new friend groups but I don’t think I ever really told him how much he meant to me. Both of them have moved far away now, Evan to Australia and Eli to Pennsylvania. Love you guys

What is your plan for after graduation?

I have been accepted into the mechanical engineering program at UNC Charlotte.
