Super Second Grade Scientists

Last week Mrs. Ballard’s second graders had the opportunity to explore the states of matter is a series of hands on experiments. These young scientists explored what happens when baking soda and vinegar mix. They documented the very surprising chemical reaction that all kids love to do. They also participated in a coke float experiment where they were asked to make predictions, identify the different states of matter and observe the changes that occurred during the experiment.

Needless to say Mrs. Ballard’s kids were highly engaged and loved participating in these hands-on lessons. Take a look at these awesome Grizzlies in action!
