For this week’s installment of Destination College we are heading to to the western part of the state to Mars Hill, North Carolina and Mars Hill University.

Located in the Blue Ridge mountains Mars Hill University’s campus is picturesque and conveniently located just outside of Asheville. Founded in 1856, it is the oldest college or university in Western North Carolina. This private, liberal arts university is beloved by North Carolinians and exchange students alike.

Campus Life

While Mars Hill University is a smaller university boasts a very vibrant campus. There are numerous academic societies, social organizations, and departmentally affiliated organizations for students to participate in. A few of the social organizations on campus are Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Organization of Women, Ultimate Frisbee Club, and MHU Spirit and Dance Team.
