Jayslene Banda is celebrating a big milestone as she gets ready to take her next steps after high school. After graduation, Jayslene plans to continue growing her photography business, @JCaptures_, while also focusing on being the best mom she can be to baby Leo. She also has plans to get into real estate, showing her drive to build a strong future for herself and her family.
Jayslene joined Clover Garden School during her sophomore year and made her mark right away. She played soccer during her sophomore and junior years and used her photography skills to capture moments for the school’s sports teams, sharing her talent with the CGS community.
One of Jayslene’s favorite memories at CGS comes from a funny moment in Ms. Paylor’s classroom that still makes her laugh: “What kind of car do you drive, Jayslene?” “I don’t know.”
Jayslene’s journey is one of strength and determination. She faced real challenges but chose to keep going and finish what she started.
Jayslene’s advice to younger students:
“Just because something major happens in your life doesn’t mean you cannot finish high school. Yes i had moments I really wanted to drop out, but then I thought about everything I had already pushed through all those years of school.. (especially mr.cheeks class ????) for what? Just to give up? No. I chose to keep going. I wanted to be able to say I did it. So WHATEVER you’re going through, DON’T LET IT DEFINE YOUR ENDING. You can still finish strong trust me!”
Congratulations, Jayslene! Your resilience and determination are inspiring, and there’s no doubt you’re going to do great things.
