Torie Paylor, High School, Teacher and Technology Facilitator
My love for education began when I was in elementary school. My grandma and aunt both worked at my school, and although neither of them was a teacher, they inspired me to want to become one. I love having the opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives while finding creative and fun ways to help them learn.
This is my 21st year at Clover Garden School. Over the years, I have served in several different roles. I currently work in IT and teach Economics and Personal Finance and Introduction to Computer Science.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and K–12 Special Education, a two-year diploma in Computer Software Specialist, and recently earned my Master of Science in Information Technology.
Outside of school, I am blessed with three wonderful sons: Troy and his wife, Caitlyn; Kevin and his soon-to-be wife, Elaina; and Michael. Our family recently welcomed our new grandbaby, Ryleigh Grace, who has brought us so much joy! I enjoy reading, binge-watching a good show, and spending time with my family.
One of my favorite Bible passages is Proverbs 3:5–6:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
