Tara Guthrie, Exceptional Children, Teacher
Hi Clover Garden Family! My name is Tara Guthrie, but everyone calls me Ms.G. This is my first year teaching at Clover Garden, and I’m so excited to be here! I’ve been working in Exceptional Education since 2001 and am a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University. I have three amazing children—two sons and one daughter—as well as two wonderful grandchildren, a grandson and a granddaughter. I share my home with my father, my youngest son, my cat, a granddog, and three grandcats. I’m a published poet and have a deep love for the arts and all genres of music. In my free time, I enjoy reading or going to the movies. I’m also a huge Disney fan—so much so that my house is decorated in Disney collectibles. I have a strong passion for animal rescue and equality for everyone, and I strive to reflect those values in and out of the classroom. At my previous schools, I was known as “The Candy Lady” because I love celebrating holidays and handing out candy bags any chance I get. I’m looking forward to a fun, inclusive, and fulfilling year at Clover Garden and can’t wait to get to know all of you! Warmly, Ms. G
