Hollie has been an active and dedicated student throughout high school, participating in Dance Ensemble, Junior Civitan, Beta Club, and Mentorship. Her involvement in these organizations has helped her develop leadership, service, and teamwork skills that will guide her in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond school, Hollie devoted four years to her competition dance team, demonstrating her passion and commitment to the art of dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, Hollie is headed to UNC-Chapel Hill to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene \u2014 a path she has been building toward with real intention for longer than most people realize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her interest in the field didn’t come from a textbook. Two summers ago, Hollie spent three weeks in Las Vegas staying with her aunt, who worked the front desk at an oral surgery practice. The office was busy, the cases were varied, and Hollie found herself genuinely absorbed by what she saw \u2014 particularly the restorative work. The team handled dental implants Las Vegas<\/a> patients regularly, many of them traveling in specifically for the procedure, and watching the consultations, the imaging reviews, and the careful post-op hygiene instructions gave Hollie her first real sense of what clinical dental care looked like up close. She came home with pages of notes, a list of questions she wanted to eventually answer through her own education, and a certainty about her direction that hadn’t wavered since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That experience shaped the kind of hygienist she wants to become \u2014 someone who understands not just the cleaning and prevention side of the work, but the full arc of a patient’s oral health, from initial assessment through long-term maintenance. UNC-Chapel Hill’s program, with its strong clinical hours and its reputation for producing practice-ready graduates, felt like the right place to build that foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working toward a future as a dental hygienist, Hollie carries with her both the academic preparation and the firsthand perspective that most incoming students don’t yet have \u2014 and that combination is exactly what makes her path ahead look so promising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of Hollie\u2019s favorite memories at CGS was the bus rides with the Dance Ensemble<\/strong>, which were filled with laughter, music, and unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For younger students, Hollie shares this valuable advice:
\u201cAll of your hard work and nights of staying up are worth it in the end as long as you trust and thank God.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
