Mental Health Services & Student Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dear Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clover Garden School is pleased to continue providing school-based mental health services and behavioral support for our students. Our mental health team includes professionals from Kintegra Health and Emery\u2019s Counseling, PLLC, as well as staff members who collaborate with the school\u2019s MTSS team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These professionals help students address social-emotional needs, mental health concerns, and behavioral challenges that may affect their well-being or success in the classroom. School-based services provide students with convenient access to professional support during the school day, reducing the need for families to travel to appointments outside of school hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mental health counseling services may be billed through the family\u2019s insurance provider. If you have questions, would like additional information, or believe your child may benefit from these services, please complete the request form below. A member of our mental health team will contact you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aidyn Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mental Health Counselor | Emery\u2019s Counseling, PLLC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello! My name is Aidyn. I am a mental health counselor with a background in social work, advocacy, and supporting individuals navigating difficult or uncertain seasons of life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely heard and understood. I work to create a space where kiddos can speak honestly, feel safe, and work toward a greater sense of emotional well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before entering the mental health field, I served in the Army as a Healthcare Specialist for four years. I later spent some time working in higher education admissions before returning to school and earning my MSW from UNC\u2013Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of work, I am a husband, father of two little boys, and a nerd to my core who enjoys storytelling, science fiction, and exploring the connection between creativity and healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine Alvarado<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

School-Based Mental Health Therapist | Emery\u2019s Counseling, PLLC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine Alvarado has over eighteen years of experience working with youth and families in a variety of settings, including the school system, non-profit organizations, and the child welfare system. She initially began her career as a middle school teacher (and later elementary teacher) and coach of multiple sports in Durham. While she was teaching, she found she was drawn to her students\u2019 social-emotional needs and driven to address the barriers that inhibited learning in the classroom, which led her to pursue her Master\u2019s of Social Work at UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduation, she spent several years providing therapeutic interventions to youth and families involved in the child welfare system. In 2019, she returned to her work in the schools and began at Clover Garden as the school social worker. She was fond of Clover Garden\u2019s tight-knit community and the resilience of the students through the pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine is overjoyed to continue to be a part of a community she loves to provide counseling services through Emery\u2019s Counseling, PLLC. Her approach is client- and family-centered, focusing on evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has therapeutic experience in the areas of grief, trauma, child and adolescent development, anxiety, and stress management. She recognizes how critical these school-aged years are to children\u2019s development and also how difficult they can be. She strongly desires to be a listening ear and support for Clover Garden students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Kane<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dean of Students | Behavioral Support Team Member<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Kane serves as Clover Garden School\u2019s Dean of Students and works closely with the school\u2019s MTSS team. He helps develop and implement behavioral interventions and support strategies that promote positive behavior, student growth, and success in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
