The school began as a K-8 school with approximately 275 students enrolled. The school added one grade level per year. In 2006, the school graduated its first Senior class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the school grew, the band program grew along with it. The band program has grown to encompass students from grades 6-12. The \u201cMarching Grizzlies\u201d have seen success throughout its years as a competing group. The band presented shows around themes such as \u201cElvis\u201d, \u201cWillie Wonka\u201d, and \u201cHeroes\u201d. &nbsp;The band has received many awards and honors over the years for their success in performance. Most recently, 2024 Timberwood Spirit Award at Montgomery Central and The Eddie Harris Memorial Award at Western Alamance. The band brought home awards from all 4 competitions in 2024. The band also searches for opportunities to perform for community events. They participate in Elon Band Day at Elon University with the FOTC. They also bring their sound to many Christmas parades in the Alamance County area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with competing, the band enjoys traveling to many destinations to perform. Last year, the marching band traveled to Disney World and participated in the Imagineered Program and recorded a Disney song.
