LAST DAY TO PURCHASE: Jake Vernon T-Shirt Sale:

  • CGS Families, back in December of this year we had a tragic loss to our CGS Family. One of our very own students in the 3rd grade passed away tragically and unexpectedly. As a school, we are working hard to honor his memory. In collaboration with the Vernon family, our school’s PTT is running a T-shirt sale featuring one of Jake’s very own designs! The shirt for sale is $20 and all proceeds will go to benefit a piece of playground equipment being donated in Jake’s honor as well as funding towards the Jake Vernon Memorial Scholarship Fund. All checks can be made out to “CGS PTT.” Orders are due by May 9th. Please click on the form below to order your shirt in honor of Jake. As a school, we will be having a celebration in Jake’s honor on May 28th and will be wearing the lime green shirts in his honor. More details to come on this event. Thank you for supporting this cause!

Teacher Appreciation Week:

  • We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week last week in true Hollywood Fashion! Our Teachers are STARS each and every day and we wanted to make them feel like the celebrities that they are!

Monday started the week with a sugar rush! Donuts and Coffee were provided by the TAW Committee. Donuts were donated by Krispy Kreme and Coffee was donated by a CGS family

Tuesday teachers had a Chick-Fil-A Chicken Biscuit for breakfast provided by the CGS PTT with a bag of Hollywood Popcorn in their mailbox from the TAW Committee

Wednesday, lunch was picked up by the TAW Committee and donated by Hwy 55

Thursday lunch was provided by CGS PTT and teachers found a bag of cookies in their mailbox from the TAW Committee

On Friday, the administration let our teachers know that CGS would be “muffin” without them with our famous “Woot Woot Wagon”. They were also treated like celebrities with SWAG Bags that were filled with donations from our CGS Families and a personalized Clipboard. Both items were organized and created by the TAW Committee.

A HUGE Thank You to the following for making this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week very special for our Amazing Teachers!
