Clover Garden’s first-grade teacher, Mrs. Wright, has been using her friend Lola to help instruct and engage her first-grade students with mathematics daily. Students are provided with manipulatives, just like Lola has, so that they can follow along while having a hands-on learning experience with Mrs. Wright. Students make a connection with Lola and are engaged with the hands-on learning activities.
