I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart and we have two children. Our son is in college and our daughter is in high school. We have a dog, a cat and a leopard gecko.

I had driven a school bus for 7 years, through high school and college. After graduating from college and leaving the children, I realized how much I enjoyed working with them. At this point, I decided to change directions and get my masters degree in education. I discovered I had a natural gift.

-Bachelors degree in Accounting -Masters in Education -Post graduate courses & administration certification  I’ve been in education since the late 1990’s.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, hiking and just being outdoors.

I came across this poem by Charles Swindoll when I was fifteen years old. It has been my life’s mantra ever since.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education,  than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company … a church … a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have,  and that is our attitude … I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me,  and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you …  we are in charge of our Attitudes.” by Charles Swindoll

My personal advice: choose wisely every day!
