This morning one of our ‘lifetime’ Grizzlies steps into the Senior Spotlight. Rebekkah Wynn has been a Grizzly for thirteen years. So ever since kindergarten, she has roamed the halls of CGS. Her sweet personality and kind manner will be missed next year, but we are confident great things await her after graduation. Congratulations Rebekkah!

What clubs and organizations have you participated in as a Grizzly?

  • Mentor for the High School Mentorship Program
  • FCA

Once you graduate high school, what is your college/career plan?

I want to go to ACC first, then to UNCG, and possibly continue my education at UNC. I want to get my bachelor’s in science and become an RN. Then either become a Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse Anesthetist.

Can you tell us about an experience or project in a class that impacted you and explain why it did?

I would say that the project that most impacted me was not just one but two. The first was in 10th grade when we had to do a career project about what we wanted to do in the future. The second was in 12th grade, we had to do another career project, and I found out more options in the field I wanted to pursue.

Have you held any leadership roles on or off campus?

I like to help out at animal shelters, and I like to give flowers to retirement homes. I also enjoy volunteering at church-raised farmer’s markets.

What obstacles have you overcome during high school that has prepared you for the future?

I would say that having a job and having some bills to pay have made me prepare for the future and just the stuff that has happened in my life since.

How would people describe you? How do you describe yourself?

I would think people would describe me as very caring and helpful. I would do anything to help others. If you need something, I have it.
