Covid-19:

I had hoped that I wouldn’t have to give you Covid-19 updates anymore this school year, but unfortunately, our numbers have been increasing recently so we want to remind/encourage anyone that is experiencing signs of Covid-19, PLEASE contact our school nurse asap. We have already started seeing a cluster again in one of our classrooms and will be making some adjustments this week in order to try and contain the spread of the virus. We need your help! Face masks are still encouraged and highly recommended especially in classrooms with high Covid-19 positive cases. We are working very hard to keep our students at school these last 13 days. Covid-19 is still prevalent within our school building and within our community. Please help us slow the spread by encouraging your student to social distance when able and let our school’s nurse know asap if your child is showing signs of Covid-19. Together, we can slow the spread of Covid-19. Please contact our school’s nurse for questions/concerns at angelacorbett@cgsnc.org. Please see the attached metrics.

Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Junior Marshals:

Please help me congratulate some of the amazing SENIORS in our building! It is my honor and pleasure to recognize and shout out our 2 Co-Valedictorians this school year, BOTH with a cumulative GPA of 4.517, Mr. Carson Messick and Miss Jaclyn Faucette. These two students have also worked extremely hard and will be graduating not only with their high school diploma, but with their Associate’s Degree from Alamance Community College as well. Excellent job Carson and Jaclyn!! We are very proud of you both and of all of your accomplishments!

Please also help me recognize our amazing class of 2022 Salutatorian, with a cumulative GPA of 4.503, Miss Abby Kidd! You may recognize Abby as our current Student Body President and Drum Major for our CGS Band! Abby is a leader both in and outside of the classroom! Congratulations Abby! Well done!

Lastly, we’d like to recognize this year’s Junior Marshals! The Junior Marshals lead at the top of their class in GPA and are great all-around students. Congratulations! We are very proud of your continued hard work and success! Maddux Harrell, H’Joepina Buonkrong, Briar Roten, Will Oldham, Mason Moffitt, Gracie Canup, Amy Smith, Daniel Meza Sarmiento, Logan Poole, and Kailey Brooks.

(Below are  a few reminders from last Sunday’s message that are still important!)

Next School Year: 2022-2023:

Reminder that next year’s 1st day of school begins on MONDAY, JULY 25, 2022.

The first 20 days of school is IMPERATIVE to our school’s financial health since we are a charter school. NO field trips/educational trips, vacations, etc. will be approved for the first 20 days of school. All students MUST be on campus and in their seats to be considered enrolled at Clover Garden School for the 22-23 school year. If your student does not attend school on the first day of school, we will assume you have moved them to another school and will look to replace and fill their spot. Attendance is VITAL during the first 20 days in order for our school to be complaint with directives from DPI in regards to our school’s financial health. Thank you for understanding the importance of attendance and having your student(s) enrolled in school during the entirety of the academic school year. Please plan your student’s appointments, vacations, etc. on “non-student” days or “academic breaks” whenever possible. Thank you!
