Mrs. Thompson’s Freshman Seminar students are engaging in a unit based on financial literacy. They are learning how saving early works in your favor due to the time value of money, how credit card debt can be debilitating, how car loans work, and more. The goal of these lessons is to give our Grizzlies real world lessons in how money can work for and against you. With adulthood just over the horizon it is important our Grizzlies learn these lessons now so they are ready to make sound decisions in the future.

The photos below were taken while students worked in groups to sketch out and script a PSA based on the dangers of reckless credit spending and the weight of credit card debt.
