For the first 2021 installment of Destination College we are heading to the southern part of the state and to our largest city, Charlotte. In this urban setting lies a small university with huge opportunities, Queens University of Charlotte. This private Christian university was founded in 1857 and with a total under grad enrollment of less than 1,800 Queens University of Charlotte offers the big city environment with small class sizes and close knit feel on campus.

Campus Life
Students at Queens can choose from 42 majors and 63 minors in subject areas from accounting to sustainability studies. While academics is the primary mission at Queens there are many opportunities for students to participate in campus life. These opportunities range from Greek life to musical ensembles, and nature groups. There are more than 30 clubs active on campus that offer diverse opportunities to get involved on campus!
Queens University of Charlotte also offers athletics opportunities. As a member of the Southern Atlantic Conference (SAC) Queens sponsors baseball, swimming, track and field, soccer, softball, volleyball and much more. They don’t stop there! Intramural sports are offered to students at all skill levels. So on campus opportunities abound on campus.
