We are so excited to announce that Mr. David Babb, Director of Bands at Clover Garden, has been named one of 27 finalists across the state of North Carolina for the prestigious Beginning Teacher of the Year Award sponsored by the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT). The award program, which is in its second year at NCCAT, is designed to honor and retain excellent North Carolina teachers and education leaders among the 7,000 beginning teachers recruited annually. Leanne Rose, 3rd grade teacher in the Mooresville Graded School District, is the 2020 NCCAT Beginning Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Babb will travel to Cullowhee, North Carolina in April to participate in a week of professional development, interviews for the BTOY Award, and the naming of the 2021 NCCAT Beginning Teacher of the Year.
