During the last sixth grade social zoom, our middle school Grizzlies had a ton of fun playing ‘Would You Rather?’ and debating which team is superior, Carolina or Duke!

While the tone of this social time was light and fun there was some serious discussion near the end of the meeting. Mrs. Paylor and Mrs. Weed (the meeting facilitators) challenged their students to participate in a random acts of kindness (RAKs) until they see them again in January 2021. Students discussed different ideas for RAKs, ranging from something as simple as smiling at strangers in town, to participating in the CGS Holiday Cards for Service Members Drive.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our entire CGS community participated in this challenge together? We could spread so much positivity and kindness through out our community and show just how much #CGSCares.

We would love it if you shared your RAKs with us. Please send a description of the random act of kindness you perform and photos if you have any! Your stories and images can be shared with brandiweed@cgsnc.org.
