Parents, you should’ve received your student’s first “Check in: Individual Student Report” if they took a Check In assessment earlier this school year. There is another opportunity to pick up your student’s report on Monday during the distribution times of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. If you’re not able to pick up your student’s report, they will be mailed home later this week. This report is used for teacher guidance to view which areas to focus on during re-teaching of concepts/skills that students have not yet mastered. Please read over the report and see how your student scored and reach out to your child’s teacher(s) for ideas of how to work with your student at home to help improve skills not yet mastered.

Progress Reports:

Progress Reports for Quarter 2 will go home on Monday, November 16th from 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. This progress report will give you an update of your student’s progress “1/2” through this 2nd 9 weeks. It will give you the most “up-to-date” grade your student has received in his or her courses. Please use this as an opportunity to help your student “refocus” if they are “off-track” or continue on the course that they are on if they are being successful. This is also a time to reach out to your child’s teacher for assistance if your student is struggling. The 2nd quarter ends on January 4th but grades will be due prior to the holiday break so please make sure your students are working hard to get all of their work completed and turned in on time.

Attendance:

We are continuing to work to improve taking attendance while students are working remotely. After hearing feedback from our teachers, students, and parents, we’ve decided to make this process even EASIER to complete daily for our students. All students in middle and high school will now have a daily assignment located in their 1st period class in Canvas that is specifically titled “Attendance Assignment”. This will be available DAILY in Canvas. Students will simply “complete” the assignment while working in Canvas for the day. No emails/check in messages will be needed IF students complete this assignment daily. Thank you for enforcing this task with your student.

Texas Roadhouse Gift card Fundraiser:
