Lillian Sharpe

Lillian Sharpe is another senior that has been a part of the Clover Garden family since kindergarten. She has been a vibrant member of our Grizzly student body for thirteen years! During high school, Lillian was a member of BETA, Chorus, Spanish Club, Theatre, Art, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, and Geek Club. When not busy on campus Lillian was also an active member of the Praise Team at Burlington First Wesleyan Church. She is also an accomplished martial artist having attained her first-degree black belt from Lee’s White Tiger.

After graduation Lillian will attend NC State University’s College of Engineering. She plans to pursue a Computer Engineering major and work towards acquiring a Japanese minor.

When asked what she thought the Class of 2020 would be remembered for Lillian replied, “The legacy of the Class of 2020 would be the endless senior skip day.”

As Lillian reflected back over her years as a Grizzly she had many wonderful memories. She could not choose just one as a favorite. Instead she stated, “My favorite CGS memories were the times that I’ve spent with my small group of friends. Every one of them is unique and special, and they are a blast to be with! I enjoyed my time in the CGS Choir, Art, and Theater classes. Even though it only lasted for a year, Geek Club was very fun as well.”

At this time of transition from high school to college students have a lot to think about and reflect upon. For Lillian she thought back over the people that have encouraged her and help her become the young woman she is today. She stated, “I would love to thank my parents, my sisters, and especially Elise for being beside me during my academic journey and, in the case of my parents, providing me the opportunity to attend Clover Garden School. I would also like to thank Mrs. Melton, Mrs. Savage, Mrs. Goodman, Mrs. Koehler, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Kistler, Mrs. Nina, Mr. Bostic, Mr. L, and Mr. and Mrs. Morris. All of these teachers and many more at Clover Garden School have prepared me for adulthood and helped me pave my path to becoming an accomplished graduate. I have had many memories here at Clover Garden School. Thank you, everyone!”

Lillian as you continue your education at North Carolina State University please remember that your Grizzly family stands with you! Congratulations on all of your achievements thus far and we are certain that many more await you.
