This afternoon we spotlight yet another Grizzly. Jarod Petty started his academic journey as a Grizzly and soon he will complete his senior year with us. During his high school years Jarod was a very active member in all things Clover Garden Band. He played in the Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble. During his senior year he also participated in the PALs program.

After graduation, Jarod plans, on attending Rockingham Community College, but is unsure of major at this time. Good luck on choosing a major!

When asked what he thought the Class of 2020 would be remembered for Jarod replied, “I think the legacy of the class of 2020 will be the year that classes got cut short by a global pandemic and we had the longest Senior Skip Day!!!”

It is no surprise that Jarod’s favorite Clover Garden memory revolves around a band function. When asked to choose his favorite memory he said, “My favorite memory was attending the Dollywood Trip with Mr. Morris. We had a great time riding the rides at the park and enjoying a break from school.”

As a senior on the verge of completing high school, Jarod wanted to take a moment to thank several people that have helped him along his academic journey. “I would thank my parents for all of their help and support through the years. I would also like to thank Mr. Morris for being a great band instructor, he taught me how to play an instrument, how to march, and how to have fun while doing it.”

Congratulations on your graduation Jarod! Your Clover Garden family wishes you well as you begin your studies at Rockingham Community College!
