During this time of virtual learning, one of our awesome teachers, Mrs. Newton, had our students reading, mixing, cooking, and eating!

Mrs. Newton shared that, “A few weeks ago, we completed a unit with “Pancakes, Pancakes!” by Eric Carle. We worked on sequencing events, retelling, and some different comprehension skills. At the end of the unit, I had an optional assignment available–make pancakes with your family.”

Several families took part in the additional activity and submitted these awesome photos.

This lesson looks awesome! We are so proud of our teachers and their innovative strategies in the traditional classroom and in the virtual classroom as well! When asked how she thought the lesson turned out Mrs. Newton replied, “The response was even better than I thought it would be.”
