Our students are inquisitive, motivated, and driven. They love anything hands-on! They are excited and appreciate all the opportunities to experience and learn new things. This year we were fortunate to begin an exploring robotics class for our middle school students. We would like to expand and introduce coding and computational thinking to our students in grades 3-5.

Sphero robots can be integrated into all subject areas. Students will learn computational thinking and act like engineers, solving real-world problems. Activities could include replicating the solar system, programming characters in a story, building and navigating across a bridge, or painting geometric shapes with the robot. Imagine the excitement of covering a robot in paint and bringing geometry to life.

To help Mrs. Nall with this awesome project please visit DonorsChoose and give. You can also share her project on Facebook to help spread the word.

Recent Mrs. Christina Wilson was able to completely fund a project through DonorsChoose. She raised enough money to purchase a Microsoft Surface 6 with Surface Pen. This new technology will allow her to cast her writing from the tablet as she walks the classroom. She will also be able to photo and cast student work making her classroom more interactive and engaging. Way to go Mrs. Wilson we can’t wait to see great things from your Mathematicians!
